The Casualty and Emergency Department operates 24x7, providing immediate medical attention for accident, trauma, poisoning, cardiac and other emergency cases. It is the first point of care for patients arriving in critical condition.
Staffed round the clock by doctors and trained nursing personnel, the unit is equipped for resuscitation, stabilisation and emergency procedures, with rapid access to laboratory, radiology, blood bank, operation theatre and intensive care.
For medical students and interns, the casualty offers invaluable experience in emergency assessment, triage and life-saving interventions.
